Front speakers' volume intermittently lowering and returning to normal volume.

I just picked up a 2009 F 250 and it has the Ford Navigation screen on the dash. What started to happen the night I bought it was that the volume on the front speakers would lower all of a sudden where you could hardly hear them then pick back up to normal volume. Now in addition to the speakers volume going up and down you hear the sync "boing" go off for no reason. I don;t know that much about the system but it's getting annoying.

I found the problem. All fixed.

Did you happen to have any navigation going by accident? My Pioneer head unit would act like this when navigation was going but the turn by turn speech was turned off. Also some head units have speed volume which raises and lowers depending on speed. I am not sure if the factory unit did that or not.

You hit the nail on the head. Nav guidance was on by accident and voice guidance was turned off. I finally realized it when it would drop the volume out when I was coming up on an intersection.
