It should work fine. I pulled a Nav. Unit out of a Lincoln and had it reflashed at the dealer.

You will need the Navi antenna and the sirus module (as both these items are separate) then it will work. Also depending on your trucks configuration.
Steering wheel controls etc.. you might need some programing.

It's on 08 so it does not have sync. I do have Sirius and steering wheel controls as wel as subwoofer. I'm being told that an 08 model navi will be plug and play is that correct.

It will work but you will need a few pieces. If your new navi unit is from an 08 superduty you will need to get a new dual band roof antenna and sirius module. And I believe you will also need a 2 way splitter wire for the navi and sirius plugs. If your new unit is from an 09 and has sync on it then that's a whole new ball game. Either way it's all possible.

The unit it from an 08. Why would I need a new antenna and Sirius box. The plugs on the back of the radio are the same.

Sorry I wasn't sure if yours was out of an 08, but since it is you still need the gps antenna and bracket that mounts inside the dash. And all the sirius stuff stays the same.
