Well mine is a touch screen that flips up but it's more like $500 and up. But I did see that post a little while ago somewhere.

That's a good point.

Someone posted a monitor screen shot and said it was like 275.

There are too many options in this market. I thought the expandable unit was the way to go when I got mine. That way you keep what you've already paid for and upgrade with new modules as you decide to.

The Garmin Nav is the best if your ever going to add Nav it's something to consider.

I'm an Alpine fan. Had several...they all sounded great and served me well. The new IVA 505 is really nice!

Go look at Circuit City, They have a wide range of prices. I got a CD player with a remote for $89. Later added amp and upgraded speakers. Even had a warrenty. I used to crank the base way up when my three kids misbehaved, now they behave better (so do I). When I blew the amp out they replaced it for FREE!
