I'm thinking a few more channels maybe ;probably premium where you pay extra.
I have xm on my direct t.v. and it's nothing to write home about.I got use to Sirius
I don't listen to anything else. Those old radio shows are a hoot plus the rest of the programing is worth every penny it cost!

I love XM. I am hoping the merger improves things and gives us the best of both worlds. Time will tell at this point...

I've used both and they're both real good, just different. Overall, I like the sirius better than XM in the end though...

Well, I woke up yesterday morning and they were talking about it on the news. Thank god I have Tivo because what they were saying is that once they merge the two systems, it'll require as much as a $200 upgrade for an updated satellite receiver due to the fact that the 2 systems aren't compatible and won't work together.

I sure hope that's BS and just some stupid news caster spouting crap and he doesn't have all the facts, but I had to rewind it several times just to be sure I heard him correctly.

from the way I understand it, each will still work but to get the "best of both worlds" so to speak you will need the new equipment, which isn't even being made yet...

That sounds like it makes sense, they didn't even hint about that during the story. The only thing they mentioned was what I described. Do you happen to have a good link that explains it or something?
