Turning off 2008 Nav screen

I just picked up a 2008 King Ranch and had a couple of questions that tie together.

1. I was wondering how to turn off the media center fully. The nav in my car allows me to just turn screen off but still use the radio. So far in my truck the screen is either on or off with the radio

2. My 2nd issue being the Bright Ford logo on the screen when I turn it off at night. Can you just turn off the screen fully?

Not sure if you can turn the navigation off totally. I know you can touch the radio side of the screen and all you will see is the radio screen. It you press the display button a few times it will turn the screen completely off. This is on a 2010 so I am not sure if they are the same or not...

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately they are different and the 08' doesn't have a display button. You just push the volume in to turn it off, but your left with a large glowing ford logo.

edit: Just solved the issue after failing to find the answer in the booklet or on the net I checked the help option in the Nav menu. Just hold the button down a few extra seconds and it turns the system off completely.
