Rear entertainment

What are you guys using for rear dvd? I have a sun roof, so not sure if I can use an overhead mount. Wish the seats had normal head rests.

So, what do you have and maybe a pic.......

I am curious too. I need to add a screen in the rear for my son. Once I get my truck back I plan to look into this.

How did you support them? I read that you had to put supports in for seats that dont have the seperate headrests.

I had my AC contractor bend me up some sheetmetal just 3/8" over sized of the monitor casing so when I cut the leather and pading I took the monitor case and pushed it into the sheet metal. The only thing i had to modify was the rib stamp into the factory metal head rest. . It was easier for me to unsnap the leather back and pull it over the back rest.you will have to remove the armrest.which was not hard to do.

Nice job Shaun. Did you do it? Which brand was that? Also, are you guys able to watch copied DVD's? My wife's Honda with factory rear entyertainment (which I believe is Alpine) would not play copied DVD's. Kids scratch them up. At home, I just keep the originals aside and give them copies to use. Make a new one when they are damaged.

Thanks again....

Had it done and added to the price of the vehicle. I believe both the headrest units are Pioneer. Haven't tried a a copied DVD yet, when I get a chance to burn one, I'll let you know. Going riding (dirtbikes) today so it will probably be tomorrow if I get a chance.
