need brighter headlights

hi guys.just put the 2008 front end on my 2000 f350 and my headlights just are not bright enough.what is the best replacement bulb.i do not want to go with hid(have had nothing but probs in another vehicle)thanks for the help.just need a brighter light

I had an issue with my 6.4 headlights, Switched to HIDs and it solved the issue... Sorry im no help lol

no thats cool.thanks anyway.just had a *** ache with the kit on my s10.finally took it out and put factory back in after 2 sets

Philips Extreme Power bulbs are pretty bright and seem to have good reviews. Been running them for 3 to 4 months now.

Also get what they call a heavy duty headlight harness with relays. Eliminates the voltage drop seen with the oem harness. DFUSER, Stealth, and Putco sell them.

hey thanks i will look into that.another thing is i am running the 2006 harness with bulbs.dont know if they are different but maybee thats my prob?

I have sylvania ultra silverstars and i`m very happy with the change from stock bulbs.I have had them for well over a year now

are the factory bulbs on these trucks just not bright?because with the 2006 headlights it was fine.i no these lights sit lower.it just seems that i have to have high beams on to see well

also my truck has 9 1/2 inches off lift and sits on 38.5 tires. maybe i have to aim them down but they just don't seem bright enough

Aiming them will help some but the stock lights just aren't great.
