The remote start system on the 2011 and up trucks is integrated into the modules on the truck, it's not an 'add on' system like which is used in the 2008's.
The difference in the key(s) is SA stamped into the key vs. S near the head of the key. (And obviously the flicker built into the key head). This denotes 80 and 40 bit PATS transponders, respectively.
The 80 bit keys are backwards compatible to the early 40-bit style keys, but not the other way around if you wanted to use an earlier key in a later model truck (pointless trivia).
