Easy install remote starts?

Anyone know if we can utilize the: Ford remote system-200 series plug-n-play
Part no: BB5z-19G364-C

Link is http://accessories.ford.com/kit-remote-starter.html

I wanna do a remote start but don't wanna pay tons to have one installed. This seems to be plug an play since its made by ford I'm hoping it will plug right into my 08 f250 KR with minimal issue...anyone know?

Or what do you use for remote start and how hard was it or how much did it cost to install?

I have the Viper alarm system and remote start with 2 way controls. Cost $450 installed at best buy. In my opinion, way better than factory. I got everything installed in a day (and I didn't have to do it), 2000ft range (absolutely no way factory does that), and a legit alarm system.

Thats cool...I guess I wasn't really paying attention to the price of what I posted. I really trying to do a plug N play i could easily do myself without dropping 500$ besides i don't really believe in alarms anyhow. Most of the time if one goes off people just ignore it while they utter how annoying under their breath.

But If I do come up with an extra 500$ i don't need I think I like your viper system looks awesome I'm going to check into it a little more!

hmm its prlly part of a standard they put on...your truck's trim package is probably missing the remote start module box to actually give you that option ...unless you bought it used and for somereason they tossed the remote for it.

Hey guys just wondering if the 2010's are pre wired for the factory remote start? I recently totaled my 2010 F450 with the remote start and was just wondering if I keep the box and antenna out of it if it will just plug into the replacement truck? Which will be an 09 or 10 F450.

Easy install remote starts?

Most likely if it was factory!!! Check out google and see. The problem you need to know is it actually factory remote start or was it a dealer nicety...deal ships sometimes do these add ons and have the vehicle sent nearby contracted to add a remote start. If in fact it is a true factory remote start the I understand it. It will plug and play and possibly need some more attention but it should work!! Either way can't hurt take it out. Shouldn't be any reason local shop couldn't hook it up for u!!

My remote start has a spring loaded switch that prevents my truck from remote starting if the hood is open.
