another hid problem...

just installed an hid kit in my 08 f350.

they fired up fine with the truck off and key switched on but as soon as i tried to turn them on with the truck on they flicker/strobe like crazy and are really dim. they will not fire up unless the truck is off with key on. is this cause by the computer of the truck not sensing enough draw and throwing a light out code or is it something to do with the wiring? any help appreciated.

look into a relay kit to draw power directly from the battery instead of through the vehicle power wire there like 15 bucks..Also make sure your switch is not on auto in the cab. Manually turn your lights on and off.
