Baack up camera issue

Hello all. Today I noticed that there is an issue with the back up camera on my 08 truck. The camera screen in the mirror shows a blue screen, a blurry screen or a "static/white noise" type screen. What do you all think might be the problem? I did a search here and it seems from other threads, the culprit was not the actual camera, but the wiring. Is this true? If so, what is the best way to fix it? Thank you.

Baack up camera issue

Did u check connections? There's a two connections, one right behind the tailgate handle, another one down by the bottom right side. Maybe take them apart and snap them back together, check for corrosion- ect.

So, now the camera is only showing a blue screen for about 5 seconds and then turns off. So, I took both connections apart...the one behind the tailgate handle and the other one between the bumper and the spare tire. They looked clean and had no corrosion or excess dirt built up. It did not fix the problem. Any ideas? I could really use the help here guys!

I would really hate to take it to Ford and have them fix it for me...especially with the DPF delete and chip!

I think i fixed mine yesterday. I took both plugs loose yesterday and dielectric greased them. It worked perfect this morning and it was 48 outside.

Well, because I am in Chemical School at Fort Leonard Wood I dont have time to trouble shoot my back up cam issue so I bit the bullet and took to it Ford today to have them diagnose it. Turns out...it is the camera. I didnt have them fix it because I didnt want to pay their price for the part. Anyone know where I can find one? RockAuto?
