Z2 vs D3

I see a lot of people like the Z2s...what is the thought on the D3? I know the D3 is half the price of the Z2. I know the Z2 has the harddrive...any input and where to buy?

I bought the D3 and been happy and satisfied with it but honestly if I had the money I would've bought the Z2 because its got all the bells and wistles. Its almost like choosing between XLT and Lariat. I got mine at Circuit City because of warranty. (faster) Ebay got some Z2 and D3 for cheaper. Good luck

I agree - I want a Z2 when I can afford something like that..

Z2 has the 7" screen, and several more bells and whistles -- but the D3 is a great unit for the price you can get them at!

(although I did see a Z2 on Craigslist somewhere around here for $800 the other day!! )

avic411.com has some great points on both units,
if you plan on using the unit with your ipod I hear that the d3 is far better and faster for it. I like the z2 also but I just went with the d3 because i know Ill use the ipod alot and i just couldnt justify spending the extra on the z2.

I think you can't go wrong with either unit. I chose the z2 over the d3 because of some of the little bells and whistles. I can't even recall the difference looking at the 2 now.

the D3 has buttons & rotary knob on the left side IIRC -- it has a 6" screen (close to that size)

the Z2 has no buttons on the side like the D3 and a 7" screen
