Dash kit

Do I need a dash kit to install a Kenwood DNX6190HD head unit? I can't seem to fine one online so I figured I would ask. Stereo is ordered I should have it Thursday night just looking for some insight for those of you who have already installed an aftermarket head unit.

Yea the kit will mount a double din. Is that Kenwood a DVD player and are you adding a subwoofer?

Yes it is DVD/NAV Reverse camera capable. Not adding a subwoofer.. I am going to check the audio stores locally to see what their prices are.

Pep boys and local car audio shops can get you the install kit too. They run between 10-30 bucks "Metra is the most common brand." Make sure you get the harness adapter "adapts stock connector to aftermarket radio connector" and antenna adapter too. You may have to override your DVD player so that you can display videos while driving as well!

Re: Dash kit

I work for pepboys ans can vouch for this. We are able to order the dash install kits along with the plug and play harness would you don't have to splice anything.

My RAZR made me send this...
