Remote starter

So I'm looking for a remote starter for my 09 f250 but I don't know what I'd be better off doing, so first of all would I be able to get a factory one even tho it didn't come with it? Or would I be better off getting an aftermarket remote starter? Some one who has info on this please help

I've heard the factory remote start has piss poor range. My buddy has one on his 2012 f250 and its MAYBE 100 ft.

Remote starter

I bought a Viper alarm and remote start from best buy and had it installed all for less the $500. It's a great 2way system and I have a 2000 ft range to start it. I can stand outside my building at work and start my truck (from across the airfield) and I park in the back of the parking lot. It takes me a good 10 min to walk to it.
