Bluetooth SYNC question/problem

I tired searching and came up empty handed. I have a 2010 Lariat with SYNC and was just wondering if anyone has any issues connecting their phone or ipod with bluetooth?

For example I have a HTC Evo 4g, I can have my bluetooth on and when I get in the truck it will say connecting followed by "NO BT DEVICE FOUND". I then have to manually go to the bluetooth settings on my phone and connect to SYNC and then the bluetooth settings on my truck and connect to my phone lol. It's a bit of a hassle and was just wondering if anyone had any advice.

The ipod connects a lot easier but occasionally when I get back in my truck having left my ipod connected and on the song sounds as if it were skipping, just like a scratched cd. It only does this for about 10 seconds so not near as annoying as my phone.

Sorry for the long rant, but this problem has been driving my nuts! Any help is greatly appreciated .

Yes, I deleted all previous devices that were stored in the truck and set mine as primary.

dont't know if this will help but I have exact same truck and exact same phone and when I first got the phone it worked great once I got it all set up, but then I installed a battery saver app and it would never work unless I went in to settings on evo and made it search for it, total pain! uninstalled app and its great again, if you have any battery or task killers it screws it all up

Haven't tried yet but I think that might be the culprit, I have a 2 battery defender apps so I'll try deleting them and see if that works. Although now I'll have the problem of my phone only staying charged for 5hrs lol.

yeh that sucks! Its a pain but I jus drag top menu down turn on bluetooth and then when I get to work I turn off blue tooth, mobile network, and wi fi. After a couple days it becomes habit and not so bad and that way it will last all day. If someone sends you a pic or leaves you a voicemail it will say call for new voicemail or unable to download so you will know then you just have to turn network on to get that stuff. I have lookout app for security and I think it helps a little with the battery. I think I heard the one called juice defender that is battery app actually works with bluetooth ok but that is just hear say
