2008 Nav not repsonding

Have a 2008 King ranch with a 6 disc nav system. Did some mechanical work on the truck, so I had my batteries disconnected for a few days. Once I had it all put back together, my nav system came up with this msg.
When I press the soft open key, I don't hear any mechanism trying to flip open to access the navigation dvd. None of the hard keys seem to affect what's being displayed. I'm not able to switch to other modes on the radio. I have never tried opening it prior, so it could be pre-exsisting mechanical problem, however the nav system has worked prior to disconnecting batteries. Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated. Would rather go aftermarket then take the truck into ford and pay shop rate.

Also to add, while the headunit boots up, and on that displayed screen, I am unable to get into the diagnostics screen by pressing 3/6.

Ended up going aftermarket, picked up a few adapters to make the factory sub and DVD player to work. Got the Pioneer 940BT to play with, nice unit other then it's not dual zoned. Keeping my eye out for now, but this one will get me through the upcoming road trip.

Reviving an old thread ------

Passat, did you ever get an answer to why you got this error message? I'm doing the exact same thing you did and got the same message.

Anyone have a clue how to get past this?
