recon looking headlights 2008

anyone use the recon lookalike headlights? just cant justify 600 bucks for headlights when i see others that look the same on ebay for 200..

any experiences?

My opinion is that ALL of those aftermarket headlights are poop. Search recon on here and you will find many many unhappy customers.

This is the only way to go in my opinion and it can be done for cheaper than a new set:

I feel you on that one. I have had a retrofit project on hold for months now. There are some services that will retrofit your headlights and put a HID projector in there for you. I think one may be a sponsor. Let me dig in some old threads and see if I can find them.

As a general rule the ones you buy off ebay will not perform nearly as well as a quality retrofit because they use cheap projectors from china.

I purchased some lights off of Amazon. They cost about $285. Projector headlights with 6000k slim ballasts. The running lights are LED as well as the halos. Nice set that went in easy EXCEPT that the xenon bulbs don't fit the housing. They are H1 just like the original lights but a tad bigger in circumference. The company is unreachable. The lights are nice! I just may have to drill out the opening a bit to fit the bulbs. Besides that, they are the best deal that I have found.

Ask clayton85 how those worked out... He'll be glad to donate his brand new set of them to you for free... If that tells you anything about how good they are

Yeah, figures it would be too good to be true. No wonder the bulbs don't fit. They look good though...
