change the start up screen on OEM navigation

I remember reading something a while ago about bringing my truck into the dealership and having the Ford emblem on the start up of the navigation when i turn my key on. Mine has the Ford oval , I was wondering if I could get just for or nothing? the reason im asking is because I have a radio from a mustang that im going to give to my dad for his F350, and want it to have ford or nothing on the start up screen,

Has anyone heard of this or know if it can be done, I remember reading it but i cant find it. i remember them saying i can get any of the 10 different options if i wanted, I just want the ford crest or nothing, thanks

Not sure about the older (2008 and older) radios but you can certainly do this with the newer (2009 and newer) hard drive based radios. It simply requires getting the radio programmed. Your dealer may or may not be able or willing to do it but depending on what radio you have there are ways to get it done.
