Did you see the connections your shop did and was it a good job? I'm trying to get an idea of how good the installs are.
Does the keypad on the outside still work to unlock and does it disarm as well?

The unit itself is awesome, had no idea had so many features and cool options until I got home and really started playing with it. I didn't even really look to see under the dash how anything was done, but it was a well known shop that seemed legit and I was referred by a buddy that has had stuff done for nearly a decade there so I'm hoping just an honest mistake in hookup because again, only feature that was important to me was to warm/cool the inside of the cab rather then just the engine itself.
They only charged $390 for the unit+bypass and install, which was wayyy cheaper then I could find anywhere else.
The keypad works just fine, BUT, if you arm the vehicle then unlock door using keypad, sets off alarm, but if I just lock the truck using the inside door lock button (alarm isn't armed) then I can use it without alarm going off. OR i can silent the alarm when I arm it, then I use the keypad and the truck doesn't sound the alarm (it does alarm the remote). Those are the few ways to get around it I've noticed, anyone have a better idea or way please chime in. I didn't really want any of the security options but the shop cut such a good deal I figured why not....I do usually lock keys in truck a lot and then use keypad to open so will just have to not arm alarm or silent arm so doesn't cause a seen.
