Viper 5704 remote start, HELP

Just got the viper 5704 remote start/security system installed on my 2008 6.4L f350 and have a few questions that I did numerous searches for but couldn't find anything.

1: How do I get the heater or a/c to work when I remote start it?? I've tried leaving it on when I turn the truck off in every possible way (auto climate control, manual fan on high, deforst floor heater, etc.) but no matter what nothing blows out when I remote start it. The light's on the dash show it's 'on' but not until I put the key in does it actually work. Frustrating because main reason I got it was to deforst frozen windshield during winter, but doesn't appear it will work...?!

2: Do I need to worry or bother about turbo timer? Read lots of people talking about it but don't know much about it.

3: The shop that installed it set runtime at 12 mins, can I adjust or set longer time without having to take it back to the shop that installed?

4: I don't have any mods to the truck (2008 6.4L f350), will allowing it to idle 10-15mins. a day cause any damage, or the 'making oil issue' i've read about?

5: I've read where the say the radio won't work until you physically put the key in, but my radio comes on when i remote start it, is this normal?

Not to derail your thread but how do you like the 5704. You're a diesel right?

Did you see the connections your shop did and was it a good job? I'm trying to get an idea of how good the installs are.

Does the keypad on the outside still work to unlock and does it disarm as well?

How much did you pay for install.

The unit itself is awesome, had no idea had so many features and cool options until I got home and really started playing with it. I didn't even really look to see under the dash how anything was done, but it was a well known shop that seemed legit and I was referred by a buddy that has had stuff done for nearly a decade there so I'm hoping just an honest mistake in hookup because again, only feature that was important to me was to warm/cool the inside of the cab rather then just the engine itself.

They only charged $390 for the unit+bypass and install, which was wayyy cheaper then I could find anywhere else.

The keypad works just fine, BUT, if you arm the vehicle then unlock door using keypad, sets off alarm, but if I just lock the truck using the inside door lock button (alarm isn't armed) then I can use it without alarm going off. OR i can silent the alarm when I arm it, then I use the keypad and the truck doesn't sound the alarm (it does alarm the remote). Those are the few ways to get around it I've noticed, anyone have a better idea or way please chime in. I didn't really want any of the security options but the shop cut such a good deal I figured why not....I do usually lock keys in truck a lot and then use keypad to open so will just have to not arm alarm or silent arm so doesn't cause a seen.
