Behind the backseat subwoofer box
Hey guys when I bought the truck 2 years ago I took the truck to a local stereo shop to have subs put in. They put in 2 JL 10w2s in a box behind the backseat. They had to remove the cab lining along the back for it to fit. I was new to the 6.4 world so I didn't know any better and just assumed that was the only way to do it. Now that I know a thing or 2 I've seen other guys with behind the seat boxes that didnt have to take the liner out and knowing it can be done bothers me that I don't have the liner in mine. They also cut the vents out and sealed them up so when I turn the air up it pressurizes the cab like an airplane.
What are you guys using for a box and what does your setup look like? Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Autoguide |

Heres a thread I made awhile back of my sub box build. I just built it myself with my own meaurements. It turned out pretty good. It was built to hold a JL Audio 13TW5 slim sub..it fits perfectly behind the back seat. I didnt remove the vents either... I did cut out a section of the back carpet so the box fit more flush but besides that everything else stayed factory.
Built my own sub box! Also shined up the turd |
