Hi Beam issues
After I finally gave up on an HID conversion I scrapped the whole HID system to go back to my trustworthy Halogen Bulbs. My problem is along the way from installing and uninstalling the HID's I lost my Hi Beams. I checked the Hi Beam fuse by the passenger foot panel and checked the bulbs. This is pretty much where my electrical knowledge ends. Is there something simple out there I'm missing, maybe another fuse or relay that controls the hi beams. Also since I'm asking about light problems, my running board lights have never worked ever since I got the truck. Again I checked the bulbs and the fuse and they all seem to be good. Any input would be great. I would hate to give Ford 120 dollars an hour to fix hi beams and running lights. Thanks.

What HID issues were you having?

Everything, no hi beams, then it had hi beams. Only one headlight firing, then they would both work, then only one again. There was no pattern to anything and they sent me new harnesses new ballasts, new everything. My buddy who has an electronic automotive store looked at the kits and said it was all complete sh*t and throw it all in the garbage. I tried to return everything but it was such a head ache to deal with the company that I wont even name I ended up throwing everything in the garbage and have never been happier. Now just wish I could get my hi beams working. The HID kit fried something somewhere.

I think you should do everyone a favor and name the company so nobody else gets screwed over. I had similar issues with my kit only firing one light and when I rewired the ground to a much better spot its worked fine ever since.

The companies name rhymes with BBM Puning....
Its DDM Tuning, I wasnt happy with their product, it was cheap, but I found out why it was cheap. |

If you get the desire to try the HID route again you should look into TRS. So far I've had great customer service and haven't heard anything negative about them yet.
