Upfitter switches stopped working
I have an 09 f350, I have 4 kc lights running off Upfitter #4, last night they worked fine, I stopped for fuel and when I got back on the road they wouldn't work. None of the other switches had power, I went out this morning and checked the wiring for a short and checked fuses, turned the switches on and they worked. Now none of the switches have power....I'm not sure what to think?

There is also a relay in your dashboard fusebox that powers the upfitter switches, look in your owners manual to find which relay it is. If it is going bad then you would have those same symtoms.
EDIT: Sorry, the 2008 and newer upfitters don't have a relay in the fusebox, only the 2005-2007 do. Here is the wiring info for both styles of upfitter switches, hopefully this will help you out: https://www.fleet.ford.com/TRUCKBBAS/non-html/Q117.pdf Last edited by GregsSD; 09-26-2012 at 02:59 PM. |
