Factory Nav and DVD

I have searched and could not find any one who has been able to watch a DVD on the nav screen. I have the factory rear seat DVD, I would like to be able to watch a DVD in the front seat. I have seen some cars that they can do that. The DVD sound goes in to the stereo so what can I do to get the picture up front.

I looked at the link. I don't think that is what I want. What I am trying to do is use the rear seat dvd and watch it up front, and still have the rear one work. I have seen it done but I dont know what I need to do.

I guess I didn't read your post very well. I didn't even know that there was a factory rear DVD system as an option. I learned something today, time to go to bed...

You're still going to need a lockpick or similar. The NAV unit disables any AV inputs when the truck is in drive.
