On the factory amp, which plugset is output? The larger plug or the smaller plug?

I'm assuming the larger, but when I tried to test the set up I could get the lc6 to switch on from the signal but I got no output.

I used a DQL-8 in my truck, and I gave up on trying to access the output wires from the factory amp. I ran wires from the speaker locations back to the DQL-8, then new wires from the amp to the speakers. FYI, I had the same issues trying to use the low level signals coming out of the head unit. They would turn the DQL-8 on, but no output.
