Truck will not go into program mode for key fob

Well this morning I used my key fob to get into the truck and it just stopped working after I shut the truck off at a gas station. The fob was working great and at atleast 100 yards+ before this. I only have 1 fob. I replaced the battery and tried to turn the re-learn off to on 8 times several times and it seems like the truck will not go into learn mode?

Any ideas?

Look at the owners manual on fob programming. It's on to start not off position to start position.... Tried off to on multiple times before I read the real instructions....
