6 Disc Changer needs exorcism

got up this AM and went out to go to my daughters "soccer" game and opened the door and the CD changer was trying real hard to do something and the circled 123456 was lit up with no key in the truck or anything. I start the truck and it continually makes the noise like its trying to change discs but wont do it. I tried ejecting and loading and it wont do anything but make the same old noise. Finally it gave up and said "CD ERROR" and stopped. Is there a way to fix these or should I just start looking for a replacement. Also, I have the factory DVD system so if I do need a replacement and I want to find another factory unit does it require a special one to work with the DVD system?

I have heard of this a few times. Try the search, it should bring up some past threads. I will see if I can find anything. As for the factory DVD system I believe that it should hook up to any headunit, but I may be wrong.

I fixed it. I took it out, banged on it, tried it...nothing. I banged it on the tool box, tried it...nothing. I took the lid off of it and carefully pried all the CD's out, tried it...nothing. I started forcing things around and poking at things with the screwdriver and viola... works. Dont know for how long but it works.

resurrection here... has anyone installed this http://www.ebay.com/itm/2008-09-10-F...ed0461&vxp=mtr into a truck with factory DVD and made it work. I emailed the company and asked and got a stupid response that basically meant we don't know.
