Just installed kenwood dnx990hd!!!

Last night i installed the dnx990hd in my truck, and so far i am impressed. Great look and menus are easy to navigate.

Yes i did hook up the steering wheel controls. it was a pain to do but worth it.

No I don't have sync but I believe they can sell you something the will allow you to still use it

How do you like the touch screen? Also what did you use to hook it up to the steering wheel controls? I used a pac audio interface so that it would control my factory sub and work with the controls but I could only get the volume to work, not the track selector. I have the dnx9960 and the touch controls are sluggish and its not very sensitive, I feel like I have to really push to get it to do anything.

Nice, I'm looking for something for my truck also... I miss my old Alpine W-200, it was flawless for what it was.

I like the touch screen I don't remember the brand if interface I used. I know the interface was universal to all cars and I can't get my sub to work.

Kenwood has the best user interface on the market, not to mention the garmin nav! As far as touch screen sensitivity. Have you gone through and done the touch calibration? That will help alot. Also you can change your touch sensitivity for the buttons. Mine are set to very sensitive and that helps. As for your sub not working, did you get the proper harness? I know there is a different harness for a ford with a sub, vs with out the sub. If you have sync in your truck you wont be able to still use it. But this headunit has all the same features as sync so its not a big deal. I had a little trouble getting my steering wheel controls to work, it took about 3 times programing the box to get all the controls to work.
