steering wheel control issue!!

I bought a new stock radio for my 08 off eBay and put it in yesterday. Now my steering wheel controls do not work. Is there any way to get them to work or am I out of luck? It was a 6cd and is now a single cd if that makes any difference.

With the nav radios it is neccessary to get the radio programmed for the steering wheel buttons...I do not know if the non-nav radios require programming or not.

I would ask your dealer.

havent gotten to talk to the dealer yet, but i will soon. any other ideas?!

Your dealer either doesn't know what he is talking about (possible) or he just doesn't want to mess with it (likely) but either way he is wrong.

Did you ever get this figured out ? I am having the same problem. Truck was a theft recovery .and of course radio was gone. Bought one off eBay . None of my controls are working ,fan nor temp control either . From the wheel

Nope, haven't figured it out yet. I'm still trying to figure out how to do it without sending it to a shop and spending lots of money

im trying to figure this out to. i have a pioneer 4300 double din and they said it will be 250 bucks installed and wired up
