Backup cam for factory nav unit?

I have an 08 with factory nav but no backup cam. Is there a way to add a backup camera or should I just look at stand alone units? I'd like to see what others are using

There are two company that make an AV input for the 08 Pioneer based Nav unti. One is CoastalEtech (but there product doesn't work, I tried, several times, with two different units they sent me, and I'm a very experienced general gear head although with working in the engieering field for the past 17 years). The second one is navtool, haven't tried that one yet because it cost $600.

I think im going to find a mirror unit and run that. Then just find a tailgate handle with the factory camera and build a custom harness

If I could do that, I would. Have you considered selling the instructors/ parts list of how to do your install (because I would buy one)??? Maybe put together the wiring harness and have it so we sourced the head units and cameras. Seriously, I would pay $500 for the wiring harness and detailed (w/ pictures) instructions on how to make my trucks NAV be like yours.

As it happens I have put together a kit to do this. I sell kits including everything you need to do just the navigation upgrade (to the newer hard drive based OEM navigation units) or the navigation with the Sync upgrade or the full monte with everything for what is shown in the video (including OEM cameras).
