Back up camera install help

My camera will be in soon for the Kenwood unit. Is there an easier place to tap into the reverse system to trigger the head unit other then tapping into the reverse light at the back of the truck.

You can find the same wires behind the oh $hit handle on the passenger side A-pillar, they will be wrapped in an aluminum shielding. I had to disconnect the factory backup camera in the rear view mirror in order to get it to work. Don't ask me the wire colors I did the install over 3 yrs ago.

At the drivers side kick panel find a green wire with a brown stripe, this should be the reverse wire.

Since you have to run wiring back to the camera anyway, I just tapped into the reverse light. It was easy.
