The dealership I bought my truck from (used) said it couldn't be done , but I'm pretty sure they couldn't find their own *** with both hands.

Boostin. Do you have the part number and/or web address that showed how to do this? How difficult was it?

I don't suppose the factory remote start is plug-and-play on an '08? I assume you have to cut and splice wires?

I was going to do this on my truck. If I remember correctly it is called the gold package. The price of it was outlandish. It was going to cost me $300 more than putting in an aftermarket remote start, and alarm system. I went aftermarket.

I have the viper I don't know the model number off the top of my head. But I will check later. I will tell you this mine will start the truck and lock my doors and stuff at least a half mile away that I've tested. Plus when your alarm goes off your key remote beeps to let you know.
