Head Units

Im am about to buy a new head unit for my truck. Right now it has the stock 6-disk changer, stock speakers and a 10" sub. Soon I want to redo my whole sysem. Thinking about getting a touch screen but not really sure yet. So looking for input on what you think is best. Posting pics of your dash will be helpful. Thanks

I've had a Pioneer AVC3200DVD (I believe this is the exact unit, cant remember off the top of my head) but I've had nothing but problems with it. Bought from Crutchfield, with in 2 months had issues and they threw me to the wolves to deal with Pioneer directly who are horrible and basically dont even give some type of loaner or anything. I bought this Pioneer unit because my factory unit crapped out... so I had nothing to put in while my Pioneer was being repaired. I'm in the process now of buying another brand touch screen..... Pioneer will never get a penny of my money again.

Im rocking the DNX 9960 Kenwood touch screen. I love it! Im normally an Alpine guy, but went out on a limb and got this unit. You can really tweek the sound in a ton of different ways. I had one Pioneer back in the day, but it was nothing fancy. Havent been a big fan of them, but it seems like its either the pioneer or kenwood that people are putting in their rigs. The oher queston is, are you looking for a flat screen or a fold out? I think that the flat screen looks alot more cleaner, but more noticable if you have to worry about thiefs in your neighborhood.

Thanks on the info. CT9AIX, I had a pioneer fold out in another car that was a fold out. Cant remember the model but it was a horrible unit. Stuff from getting stuck in or out, or just not working in general. So i will prob stay away from them. Thanks for the info.

Sawed Off, What all can you adjust with it? I want something that can adjust my high, mids, and low.. But also be able to ajust my bass as well.. and I think I would rather have just a touch screen, not a flip. Can you take a picture off it? thanks

i have and will always swear by eclipse head units. I prefer them over any, and i have had most out their. ive had all the major players, plus ones like mcintosh, nakamichi, etc. i have always gone back to eclipse.

Not a good one but it's the best I could do tonight. I got it also because I need something that can keep up with my little system.
