HID Help

I bought two HID kits from DDM (big mistake), one for headlight and one for fog lights. I had them about 10 months and one of the bulbs in the headlights went out. I went through the aggravation of send mine back and getting new ones. I got the new ones in yesterday which included a new wiring harness, what a PITA. Now if I unlock with the keypad or the key fob the headlights flash on and off very quick. Then I get into the truck and turn the headlights on and have to turn the switch over and over for them to come on. I have turned it 3 times and they came on and I have done it as much as 35 times. Does anybody have any advice on what to check. I have checked connections and they all seem good. Could it be that the ground on the passenger side is not good enough? The driver side is ground to the battery. The passenger side is piggybacked onto one of the screws that holds the headlights in. Of course I created a new case with DDM last night and no response from them today. Thanks

Did you use the harness that came with the kit ?

I have the same kit you do and I had a problem with my passenger side ground, but it only affected the passenger side headlight. The other side came on just fine. I would double check all the connections before I blamed it all on DDM. I have ordered 4 sets of HID's from them and all have worked perfectly.

Yes I did, I sent photos and info to them and they are sending me another harness.

Where did you put the ground on the passenger side? They are sending me another harness so hopefully part of the problem lies in a defective harness and the other in me choosing a bad place for the ground.

I put the ground to the body. Be sure to clean any paint away, then use dieelectric grease on the connector. Should be good to go.

You can always check by using a jumper from the ground wire to the neg. terminal on the battery to make sure/rule out a bad ground.
