08 radio options. (Camera, USB, aux etc.)

I have an 08 Job 1 King Ranch with 6 cd changer, nav, audiophile and the rear DVD entertainment system. It doesn't have any camera functionality right now.

I have some questions.

1) Will the head unit play DVDs ? Or does only the back unit play DVDs ?

2) Is there a way to add camera inputs to this radio ?

3) Is there a way to add a USB input to this radio ?

4) Is there a way to add another aux input, other than the one that is in the dash ?

Thanks !

I'd love to know the answers to these questions.

The generic answer to all your questions is no.

this unit is available, and is supposed to do all of the above (except maybe USB) and control your ipod/iphone even with steering wheel controls, FORD 360 LOCKPICK , but I haven't found any positive reviews from anyone about it yet...

There is another company, but you have to send in your headunit to them, I cant find the link right now, but it will turn up...

I also found a guy that can package a wiring harness to allow a new generation SYNC unit into an '08. But this route has got to be expensive...

Your probably better off going with a 3rd party head unit. I have the Avic Z2 which does everything your asking. Great stereo.

I was even able to update the software to that of a Z3 unit pretty easily.

Sent from my EVO using AutoGuide app.

Sounds like you have a tough choice to make. I'd first see if there were adapters I could add on first b4 spending a bunch of money for a whole new system.
