I have, but it isn't very bright. Would love to find a LED that is brighter. I ordered mine from RECON.

ya i doubt that recon uses a bright led for that. ill try to find one and find out what they use. thanks

It should be a 921. The problem with most LEDs is that they don't have a wide angle beam. And since there's no reflector around it, you get much light.

This is the best thing I've found.

thanks, ya the problem i was worreid about was the light taking out the batteries. i could always wire a switch in so that i can shut it off.

An LED killing two huge batteries?
It turns off when the hood is closed anyway.

nonono, i meant with the halogen. when im at a show or whatever the hood is open and the light is on.

My hood light will automatically turn off after awhile. 20 or 30 min??


Do the 08+ trucks not do that?
