light bars

does anyone have any kind of light bar setup? i have been looking into building something to slide onto my bed rails that i can put the lights on to shine over the cab.

ya i have seen people mount those there, right now i have three 55w halogen lights in there but im thinking of upgrading those to 100w bulbs and then getting about 6 6 inch round 100w lights for the light bar
thanks though, the one thing i dont like about the led bars is that they seem to blind everything, such as signs and what not

no one else? i was thinking of getting some roof rack rails that mount inbetween the door and roof so i can remove them.

i have considered getting a roof rack ...but **** my truck is already some 8 feet tall if i every used it would **** up my roof ....id rather just get a bumper or configure a light set up ....maybe a headache rack?

ya that is my exact thought since my truck is lifted i didnt want to deal with clearance issues, i somewhat came up with an idea for a headache rack light bar that is on two actuators so at the flip of a switch i can raise it up and then lower it so my roof is flush.

if you have the money ...look into rigid industries .....(some people like vision x to each his own)

its the last light youll ever buy ....super bright and last forever ....mount easily too ...draw very little power ....

i want one but i cant justify the outward cash flow hahaha

My Vision X Evo Prime Double Stack produces more light than the Rigid Industries' E Series in the same size. Granted, Rigid LED lightbars are about a third of the cost. The 20" Rigid has 7900 lumens of light. My Vision X has 20,640 lumens.

rigid is from my home town lol

granted vision x has an office 20 mins away in scottsdale lol

but the 20 inch rigid bar is only 100 bucks less then the vision 21in

idk about all the dif classes and stacks though

well ya i was looking at the rigid 40 inch bar for over the cab, and the 20 inch bar for the bumper but right now ive got 3 55w halogens there and they dont light up past my hid low beams and fogs on...so i think the led will light up more but first i gotta save up for them haha, cant justify that until i have it in hand.

what vision x length is yours?

and i like the "lightmare" haha im always adding more lights to my truck as well!
