Speedometer Correction?

Does anyone happen to know if any of the speedo correction devices from the 6.0L's work on the 6.4l? I need to correct my speedometer after putting the new tires on and don't want to use a programmer and don't want to use the dealer either.

Thanks, Bill.

No inline speedometer correction device has been tested on an 08 yet

However I heard of this accupro thing, I have not heard if it worked for anybody though.....

I have done extensive research on this and from what I have found the tru speed or speed wizard will work just fine for you.

The speed wizard was one of the first on an 07, way back in late 06.

I don't think the people @ merlin controls would have a problem refunding it if it did not work out for you.

www.superlift.com - is the superlift one

Merlin Controls Electronic Control Systems / FMDK Home Page is the speed wizard.

The link @ stelth auto did not work, so those two should suffice.

I have tons of drawings and locations of wires if you need specific info, post up or email me merc45@gmail.com

If you have a tuner you can change it that way...

I have the SCT Livewire and it gives you the option to change the gears and tire size...

Works awesome since I have 37's.

Its spot on for me..

I checked with a couple of the radar signs in my neighborhood...

The setting in the tuner goes by Rev by Mile... Each tire has a specification.

Mine was 590 on the tire that I have...

I'll check for you if you would like if you give me the that value for the 44 inch tire you like.

I have the SCT Livewire too.... changed my revs/mile to 550, as spec'ed by the tire company for my model. No go. Did NOT change the speedometer. Supposedly, it changes the transmissions shift points or some crap. I could tell, since, going "70" in a 65, I was FLYING by everyone. Just felt wrong. No GPS, though. Returned to stock, and it felt about the same, speedwise. By my math (and the road mile markers) I was about 10% off both before, during, and after (returned back to stock). A known 525mi route I've taken for 8 years took about 475mi to complete, WITH the tire size setting in place on the SCT.

Keep in mind, those radar signs (I tried that too) are usually in 25-45mph zones. The one here in a 25 zone would really only be reading 2.5mph off, so it seemed almost accurate. As you speed up, the 10% means a lot more. 70=77, etc.
