If it's just a nav system, nothing special like SYNC, then it should just drop in and hook up. If it has SYNC then, you will need special programming on the head unit from what I understand.
I talked to the dealership about this awhile back and they said there are a couple "modules" that "have" to be added for it to work because the touch screen comes in the upgraded sound system. Not sure if they were just trying to make some money or if that's true. Just passing along that message.
Sounds like they are just trying to make some money. If it's a standard Double Din head unit, it should be able to be put in any vehicle that can hold a Double Din. I'd be worried if it had SYNC or mileage/economy tracking and such, but if it's just a NAV unit, it should be no different then adding a 3rd party nav unit from any of the brands.
Now that I think about it he showed me the wiring for the standard radio and touch screen and it was completely different because of the amplifiers needed for the upgraded sound system. Might need to do some wiring adjustments.
