Okay, I held down the 3 and 6 button yesterday for the first time to see if I could see any DTC's or anything like that. Well, I found a full speaker test where it tests each one individually. All speakers worked until it came to the subwoofer, it was silent. My question is, shouldn't my truck have a subwoofer?
My truck is a 2008 model year and has on the window sticker.
NAVIGATION SYSTEM: $1875
AUDIOPHILE SYSTEM FOR NAV: $625
SIRIUS SAT RADIO W/6MOS SVC: $200
1. Should I have a subwoofer?
2. Why isn't my subwoofer working?
3. Where in the world is it located?
4. How do I fix it? :hehe:
5. Does anyone have an updated 2008 Navigation DVD?
loo behind your back seat. I believe on ext cabs they are on the drivers side beind the rear seat and in the middle on crew cabs? If you have it you will notice it right away. But yes you should have the sub if those are the options that you have for your sound system.
Everything that I have read says that my truck should have one but I really don't think my truck does, or it is not working!! WTF!?!?!?!?!? Where is the amplifier located?
I mean, it has every single option available as a Job 1 truck. No kidding. I wonder if Job 1 trucks got the shaft and didn't get a subwoofer installed?
As stated by others look behind the rear seat. You can't miss it. As for the amp I believe it is mounted on the back side of the box for the sub. I also have a job 1 and it is there.
Checked behind my seat on my drivers side (had too much junk to get to the passenger side, lol) and there is NOTHING behind there. All I see is basically some carpet folded up on the back of the cab. When I turn my bass up on my head unit, I can barely notice a difference. I'm almost positive I don't have one. WTF!? Errrrrrrrr............
When you fold down the driver side back seat it should be located in about the middle of the truck. You should be able to see the speaker grill if it is there. I don't have a pickure but if you go to ebay and type in or copy and past ( 08 FORD F250 AudioPhile 8" SUBWOOFER w/ AMP 08-09 OEM ) you can see a picture of what should be there. Hope this helps.
Okay..... I may be stupid, but how in the world do you fold down your back seat on an Extended Cab? The back (against the back of the cab) is like it is bolted and can't move and only the bottom half of the seats fold up/down?
I'll try and clean out all the junk in my truck and take some pictures but I swear it's not there, lol.
I believe hes talking about the bottom part of the back seat, where your butt would sit. It can fold up or down. It would be under that seat when you fold it up. 1/3 of the seat will fold up and down (where the subwoofer would be if it was installed) behind the driver seat and the other 2/3 of the rear seat will fold up and down behind the front passenger (where the jack, handle and lug wrench are located). Our trucks look similar, mine is a job 2 and i dont have a subwoofer either
i have a 2007 f250 outlaw. Does anyone know where I can get a complete audiophile system and will it work in my year model? The radio I have doesn't have an Ipod jack or XM satellite and I would like both. thanks
