So I installed my HID headlights a couple of weeks ago and I have noticed a few things. It appears as if my dash lights are a tad dimmer now than they used to be before the install, it may just all be in my head but I dont know. Also If I let me truck sit for 3-4 days with the headlights turned to auto, it will kill my battery. I am currently testing the situation if it kills the battery with the lights manually turned to off. Has anyone else ever seen these things before?
Have you checked the wiring? U have had my HID in for over a year now with no issues. Although I do have issues sometimes with my fogs flickering, I even picked up a relay for them and it still does it sometimes.
im having issues wiring mine up. i bought just a plug and play kit thats just the low beams. but when i take the bulb out i cant figure out where to plug the wires into. any help?
The new harness should just plut into the the stock truck wiring harness. and then run your wires to the bulbs. As for my wiring. I have checked it and it all appears to be right. I believe the dash backlighting is just in my head, but the dead batteries are a reality. Im going to have my batteries tested and make sure that they are both still good and rule that out of the equation.
