I was under the hood this morning just looking around. I found these 4 wires. Does anyone have any idea what they are? I thought they were for the upfitter switches but I looked in the book and it says the upfitter switch wires were under the dash on the drivers side.
And then seen this right by the hood release. Anyone have an idea about what this is?
The other wires , I have never tested yet but my truck has them too and it's a 99 . My 08 V10 had them as well . Must be for some add on stuff but I don't know what . The up fitter switches wiring is under the dash for sure . I have wired things into them .

They are called "pass through wires". They go from one side of the firewall to the other - that's it. They are for future accessories that require wires going from inside the cab to the engine compartment.
Sweet thats good to know before i go wast time trying to run stuff through the fire wall which is a PITA
