Hey,
Here are a few pics I have posted before, The PDF was for a guy who had wireing / amp mount questions. but Kicker 700.5, Kicker component door speakers, Kicker CVR in custom center console box. When I put the speakers in the doors where all dynomatted, floor as well, would like to do roof but pain without being able to take the headliner out. Sony head unit Stinger RCA's and power wires. Not sure if I left anything out ask any questions. Talk to you later,

The dyno mat makes such a difference. With the stereo off it's amazing how quite inside the truck is, like I said I would love to do the roof. If the windshield ever needed to be replaced I would do it then. The truck is actually my wifes, I only get to drive it ocasionally but I did cruise it last night and the bass hits hard and responsive. With that plexi glass deflector you can really feel the presure. Was thinking of making some panels to go into the doors below the handles to hold another set of seperates and put a few more subs under the rear seat. She wants a Spartan before I do that though! Which is all good because I get to play and work on it and she justifies the money because it's hers!!
I started inside my truck before I did toooo much to the outside. I have custom fitted buckets in the rear with a custom built center console, hiding 2 down fire JL W7's with a 500/1 on each mounted behind the seats. A Rockford Fosgate 400/4 pushing Kenwood fiber 4-ways in my doors and in the back, then another 400/4 getting ready to do some kick panels and rear door panel speakers. I will post pics a bit later of the box. O and Pioneer 3200BT double din!
Will try and get some more up for you guys tomorrow!
Lets see if I can remember everything. Alpine d100 head unit with TR7 video bypass, Alpine blackbird navigation system, alpine bluetooth module, alpine digital surround sound processor (amazing piece), sirius radio and ipod control, JL audio 350/4 for front and rears, JL audio 5x7 CXI coaxials, JL audio 500/1 for subs, 2-10" long throw subs in custom box I built behind rear seat, 15" roof mount monitor for the kids with infrared headphones (great when you don't want to listen), Sony playstation 2 again for the kids. System is about 3 years old now and I'm planning some changes in the near future. Some things are 3" rear seat mount spacers so I can build a new box under the seat, amp rack behind rear seat, custom center console to house either the PS2 or PS3 and possibly head rest monitors for when the kids can't decide what to watch, Focal components for the front doors and cut in JL's to rear doors instead of the pillars for better sound, add another JL 350/4 so I can bi-amp the components, center channel in the dash for full dolby digital (just because I can).
I had to go with my Type R alpines instead of the bostons since the door has a din connect instead of wires going through. My plan was to install the tweeters way up high in the pillar. Would of had to do some fiberglassing on the wing pannel on the door in order for the tweeter to be placed at the right angle. I do have one more set of patch cords for a center channel with this new kenwood. Could throw some tweeters somewhere later on. Awaiting the dash kit and antenna kit to come from crutchfield to finish the install. Then Pics to come!
i have been looking for sound systems myself and was thinking about 2 jl 13 tw5s how does one sound, also what amp do you have for the one....i dont know about other speakers to make it sound better but that also sounds like a good idea
bump
thanks
I have Rockford fosgate 6x9 3 way speakers int the doors two Rockford amps a p400-4 for my speakers and a t500-1 for my subs. Two shallow 10 inch subs behind the back seat when turned up rattles my mirrors so hard they are useless
