plug it in, hit media, then change the device until you come across the usb and then it will take a few seconds to catalog the songs. from there you can play your play lists, artist , album, etc

i use the usb or the bluetooth (usb gives you more control) on an ipod touch. if its an older ipod (white classic hard drive based), make sure its turned on. maybe try updating the ipod if you haven't tried that yet

I'm also having this problem except mine was working then it just quit and now doesn't recognize anything being plugged in. I was originally using the second USB port but neither is working. I've tried new cables and everything....nothing. My truck is a 2010 and only 2 weeks old but it worked fine for the first week and a half and worked great on my 08 and 09's. I hate to take it to the dealer just for this but it's killing me without it.

Yeah...have'nt figured mine out yet. I put my music on a flash drive. That is working, just bugs the hell out of me that the mp3 wont work. I know just enough about electronics-computers to get me into trouble. I'll have em look at it next time Im at the dealer.
