In-motion use of nav system

I'm a newbie on this site, but I tried a couple of search's before I started this thread..

Is there a way to use the nav system while driving? I mean I would never think of doing this while I was driving I want this mod so the wife can enter in address's

The way I see it is that there could be 2 possible ways to accomplish this.

one is to have a hacked nave disk that would not look at the speed sensor

or

somehow block the speed sensor information to the navigation unit.

I make it sound so simple, LOL

anyway, is there a way to make this work?

Unlike the old days, tricking the newer Nav systems is very difficult, there are more then one speed sensor control and it knows when the vehicle is in motion using the GPS. The only way I know to by-pass is to purchase a FORD LOCK PIC.

How would the lock pic make this work?

I have this system just install this weekend. I had a little glitch but the techs help and we fixed it. Very good product. As far as navigation in motion. It doesn't fix the problem you are talking about. it does allow you to have reverse camera and watch dvds or any video audio input. very cool

Only the hard drive version comes with address input while in motion option which is the one I will buy soon as they are released.

This looks like a pretty neat little product. Did you have the factory reverse camera already? Is the picture(dvds) better than it looks on the web site?

I added an aftermarket reverse camera. The DVD is amazingly clear. I am extremely happy with this product. It works well. the support and directions are very easy to follow. Screen quality is better than the factory dvd screen in the rear
