On a seriuos note sounds like maybe somthing with the spider gears. If it was just a shudder i had a truck that had worn limited slip clutches and it used to shuder when i would turn but never made any audible popping noises.

id buy three quarts of diff oil and pop that cover off asap before you grenade that whole thing. At least if a tooth is busted off you can take out the debris and get it fixed, but if there is something bouncing around in there and it manages to wedge itself between a ring gear and a hard place.....

Talked to a guy the other day, said he has been blowing limited slip clutch packs in his 08. He is a hot shoter that pulls 30k, but its possible you did the same.

I've broken teeth off a ring gear before. The way I figured out something was wrong was that the truck smelt like gear oil and the whole underside of the truck behind the axle was covered with oil.

OK everyone heres an update. I pulled the diff cover and everything looks good. The gear oil did look alittle milky and seemed kinda thin. I put mystic gear oil in and put new rtv. took it on a drive and its not poping anymore when I turn. But its whineing like its tight but it only does that when I turn. Any ideas now
