thanks for the compliment! they are from n-fab, you might also find them under the name "smittybuilt". awesome steps a bit pricey, but worth it!

I believe it's in the programming.

If you get used to applying throttle at the right speed it goes. If you stomp it too quick it takes a while.

they dont really flex to bad, they are supposed to have a 445 lb weight limit so im not to worried, but fabricating a brace doesnt sound like a bad idea....

my 7.3 had throttle lag when I first got it........now its got slight turbo lag and my throttle positioning sensor is screwed up but i can still stomp it and boil the tires off while pullin a 360* into traffic

I talked to Matt at Spartan about the lag and he explained that it is built in to the factory programming because of the DPF. When does a 7.3 or 6.0 smoke the most? Initial take off right. So to keep the DPF from getting clogged all the time they defuel the engine on initial take off. The harder you mash the pedal the longer the delay. Sucks and if you dont account for it you could get yourself killed. Anyway, once you remove the DPF the programming can be adjusted to remove the delay or lag. Its not actual turbo lag, the turbo's spool very quick but not until they are supposed to according to the programming.
