I don't like to call it "leaking"...I prefer to use the term..." lubricating the undercarriage"...

im not to worried about the warranty, its been in the shop about 6-7 times. the lead tech has told me already "ford doesnt need to know its lifted" Unless he can tell it was abused. But, it hasnt been. To the other guy with the leak, are you lifted?

First of all there is a federal law that says dealerships have to prove the modification contributed to the damage in question. Your dealer is lying AND breaking the law.

Have the service manager explain to you how an exhaust and intake modification contributed to a steering box seal failure. Then ask for it in writing.
You just need to get into "kick a$$" mode and tell them they will fix it.

Here is a link to a website covering just this kind of illegal practice:

if something i did to my truck causes a failure, i will pay for it. I have no issues.

AFter i put the stall converter, pulley and tune on my lightning, the only things it went to the shop for were a water filled fog light, and a peeling steering wheeling.

My steering box in the this post was a casting flaw, and as per my tech had been leaking since new. Thanks anyways
