Sheared crank?

Hello everyone,

Is Ford doing anything about this problem?

My 2008 with 90K miles developed a little vibration, engine knock and then loss of locomotion while towing a 6000 lb load (race cars and open trailer). My buddy's shop says the flex plate broke and is free-spinning with lots of metal in the oil.

I had checked the oil and its fine. The truck got regular maintenance and was never abused (I bought her used with 42K miles with clean carfax)
