Stuck in 4 Wheel Drive Low

Well I am in need of some possible knowledge, I am having issues with the shifter motor on my 2008 F350. It keeps defauting into 4x4 low and the motors burn out. It does this while being in 2 wheel drive high and I have now fried my 5th motor in 2 months. it driving me crazy to say the least, ford cant figure it out. Thanks in advance for any help.

what did they find my went in 4 low when i was driving on friday night,did not sound good sat on the sit of the road for 10mins then it came off ....drove 10mins then lost all gears,towed to shop and they cant find problem

My ended up being a power wire that had rubbed through the casing and no one could find it. It would end up shorting out when moisture would contact it. It was a serious Pain in the ***.
