STEERING PROBLEMS

I have having alot of steering problems with the truck in my sig. When i am driving on the freeway the truck is all over the place everthing in the front seems tight. When i go 70 or over on the freeway I get a bad virbation in the front and if i hit a bump it gets worse. When i hook a trailer on the bad it is very bad also it is like driveing my old 2000 7.3 and thats why i got out of that truck I hate to say this but my 3/4 ton chevy had a hell of alot bad ride then I have had with any of my fords. Could it be the tires are just a bad brand? I have had the tires for about 8k when i first got them they did not seem bad but the more miles i put on it seems they get worse. I have nitto trail grappler 295/70/18 running 60psi in the front and 65psi in the rear. Please help me.

I would check the steering gear box....I had the steering gear box replaced on the 08 F250 4X4....It went bad all by it self...there was some sort of pop....and then there was excessive play in the steering about 1 inch...also depending on the miles on your truck...look real hard at the front shocks and steering damper.....just before I traded my 08 on a 2011....I had issues with the new front tires...cupping. I removed the front shocks and determinded....they were bad ...I also replaced the steering damper...had the truck aligned and replaced the front tires.....good luck and keep us posted...

I would have the steering box checked .......it's a known issue....mine was replaced at the dealership. The excessive play was dangerous when driving at times...my 08 F250 4X4 was stock ....wheels and tires...
